YMCA Camp Elphinstone

June 10th - August 31st (option to work Outdoor Education Spring and Fall) YMCA Camp Elphinstone is searching for multiple Out-Trippers to join our team for the summer season. Out-Trippers lead youth campers on five-day hikes along the Sunshine Coast Trail and nine-day kayak excursions to Desolation Sound. You'll provide youth with positive, confidence-building outdoor experiences while spending your days exploring the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful, natural surroundings!

Free meals and accommodation are included with your employment. These positions are also LMIA-exempt for qualified international workers. The summer work term is June 13 to August 30, with opportunities available to work with our team in the spring and fall months through our Outdoor Education programming.

Required certifications include Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Wilderness Advanced First Aid, FOODSAFE Level 1, and experience with backpacking, sea kayaking or canoe trips. All candidates must pass a criminal record check. Enhanced wages for additional relevant credentials, including Paddle Canada certification, Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia (SKGABC) Assistant Overnight Guide, NLS and Wilderness First Responder.
