Become a Board Member
Would you like to gain experience in nonprofit governance, and give back to a meaningful community? Help the Alliance be better than ever by joining the SKGABC Board. We are 8 members + the Executive Director who:
- Meet monthly from September through May (virtually or in person, according to ability).
- Take on a project or two of their choice throughout the year, such as planning a SKGABC Exchange, researching a project, or organizing a pro-deal.
- Share information about current events and other communities (like Parks, government, and postsecondary institutions -- a great way to gain experience in this area).
- Work collaboratively to uphold the Alliance mission and governance and make it a valuable resource for our members.
Board members form an essential role in running the Alliance and can be any SKGABC guide level. The SKGABC membership elects the Board members at the Annual General Meeting - typically the second Sunday in November of each year. Email info@skgabc.com to inquire.
