Profile:

AOG Guide based in BC, open for a full time Position for Summer 2025. I’ve always been connected with the stunning Wilderness that Canada has to offer. Growing up I would spend the summers paddling in Algonquin park or hiking in the Laurentians taking in the beauty of our eastern forests. After spending my formative years in the bush, it was only natural that I would look for a job that kept me in the outdoors. This is what led me to attend the Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Program at Algonquin college where learned an array of skills that would help me in my guiding career. After the program, I got my start guiding as a whitewater rafting and canoe guide in Newfoundland. The eastern summers were lovely and I spent my time off work fishing and foraging for wild greens and berries which would inevitably become all sorts of Teas and Jams. After the summer season was over, however, I would always head out West to explore the Mountains and Coastline of British Columbia and the Yukon on my own. Eventually I started guiding Multi-day Canoe and Hiking trips on Vancouver island and in the Yukon. During this same period I got my Level 1 and AOG certification with the SKGABC, during which I really fell in love with the unique coastal ecosystem of BC. Additional Certifications: ODAN; Algonquin College, Wilderness First Responder (80 Hr), Paddle Canada Waterfront Canoe Instructor, Swiftwater Rescue Training Lvl 3, Avalanche Safety Training Lvl 1
