Adam is a Level 2 sea kayak guide with 3 seasons of professional experience in the adventure tourism industry. Adam has led day tours in Clayoquot Sound, and has assisted on multi-day expedition and basecamp trips in and around Johnstone Strait, the Broughton Archipelago, and Desolation Sound. Based out of Campbell River, Adam is currently focused on further developing his kayak guiding and instructional skills. Adam is also proud to be a member of the professional ski patrol team at Mt Washington Alpine Resort. Prior to attending TRU, Adam worked as a merchant operations specialist at an industry leading food tech start-up, owning the launch process for Ritual's restaurant partners across eastern Canada. In that role, Adam worked closely with regional sales teams to onboard new merchants onto the platform, transcribing their menus into Ritual's proprietary format and delivering best-in-class customer service to support their success. He represented the operations team in the roll-out of hundreds of MTY Food Group franchise locations and oversaw the initial phases of Ritual's Kitchener-Waterloo launch. Adam obtained his Bachelor of Management degree from Dalhousie University where he majored in Environment, Sustainability and Society and graduated with distinction. Adam also holds a certificate in Applied Digital Geography and GIS from Ryerson University, as well as a Diploma in Adventure Guiding from Thompson Rivers University.
