  • 2008 Spring Exchange - Victoria, BC

Introduction
This document explains how the SKGABC logo may be used to let clients know that you are a member of The Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC, a non-profit society which upholds high standards for professional sea kayak guides and operators in BC.

Permission to use the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC logo must be received from the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC Executive.

Obtaining Permission
Please contact the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC Executive for permission to use the SKGABC logo. Please include a description of your company, and details of the proposed use of the SKGABC logo.

Downloads
Electronic files of the SKGABC logo are available on the SKGABC website at www.skgabc.com/graphics/logo.php. This page is password protected. Upon receiving permission from the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance Executive to use the logo, you will be given the password. SKGABC logos are available in low resolution versions appropriate for websites, as well as high resolution version appropriate for print.

Usage Guidelines
The Sea Kayak Guides Alliance has developed logo usage guidelines in order to protect the integrity of its logo and identity. Unless otherwise authorized, the SKGABC logo may only be used by members of the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC. If you do not maintain your membership, you must immediately discontinue use of the SKGABC logo.

  1. You may use the SKGABC logo on your business cards, letterhead, resume, website, and marketing materials, to indicate that you are a member of the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance.
  2. Your name, trade name, or company name must appear on any materials where the SKGABC logo is used.
  3. The SKGABC logo may not be included in your business name, domain name, product or service name, logo, design, slogan, or other trademarks.
  4. You may use the SKGABC logo only as provided by the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance. Except for size and color, which are subject to the restrictions in these guidelines, the SKGABC logo may not be altered, including proportions, animation or distortion.
 

Minimum Spacing Requirements

The SKGABC logo must stand-alone. A minimum amount of space must be left between the logo and any other object such as type, other logos, photography, borders, edges and so on. The minimum amount of space required is half of the height of the logo. The minimum height requirement is 1 inch (2.54cm).

A minimum size requirement exists to ensure that the integrity of the elements of the SKGABC logo are maintained. The minimum size requirement of the SKGABC is 1 inch (2.54cm) in diameter.

The logo should always be placed so that the text is right side up. Do not rotate the logo onto its side or upside down.

When resizing the logo, be sure to maintain its original dimensions. In other words, please ensure the circular SKGABC logo does not appear as an oval.

Color
The SKGABC logo may be used as indicated (black on white background); alternately the logo is available in red on a white background. The color code for SKGABC red is specified as follows:
