Calling All Guides to Deep Cove, North Vancouver.
Registration upon arriving in Deep Cove.
$35 registration fee includes 2 dinners and a lunch.

Friday October 12th Schedule
Registration opens Friday at the crack of noon.
Forward Stroke Assessment and Improvement Clinic
1:30pm – 3:00pm with Bob Putnam
Open Session (email Roscoe if you need to lead a session)
3pm - 4:30
Dinner 6pm.
Saturday Schedule
Breakfast 8am
Practice Scenarios for the Level Two/Three Guides Exam
(This will be open for all guides that feel like practicing)
900am to 1130am
Boat Handling and Advanced Strokes
900am to 1130am with Kevin Floyd
12pm Lunch provided.
Understanding Tidal Races and Moving Water
1:30pm to3:00pm with Laurel Archer
What is the Future of Certification provincially and nationally?: An open discussion for owners, guides and other interested stakeholders.
Moderated by Chris Nagle 130pm to 300pm
The World Famous Guides Olympics
Organized by James Dunderdale and DCCK 3pm to 5pm
Dinner at 6pm.
Kayaks available courtesy of Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak.
There will be camping available at Twin Islands, a half hour paddle away.
There will be a motorboat shuttle to the islands in the evening/morning.
The Raven Pub will be close at hand for socializing in the evenings.
We are calling for volunteers to help out with the dinners and lunch.
There is still room for additions to the schedule as guides offer to lead them. |
