LOCATION: Gabriola Campgrounds, (Descanso Bay Regional Park) - take the first left off the ferry, just under 1km you will come to the campground on the right hand side of the road---a ten minute walk

COST: $60 Includes dinner evening of the 3rd , continental breakfast morning of the 4th . Camping fees 4th and 5th

1:00-2:15 WEATHER INTRPETATION ---Environment Canada

2:15 –3:15 RESCUE PRACTICE ---scoop, stirrup, collapsed bulkhead rescue OR Fire Starting (Beth Anne)

3:30-4:30 TOWING PRACTICE(Don Webster) (Beth Anne) OR STROKES & BRACING

5:00-6:30 dinner

6:30-8:00 --- Discussion of issues and concerns of guides

Saturday

7:30-8:45 breakfast

9:00 – 10:00 “SEARCH PROTOCOLS FOR LOST SOULS” Jordie

10:00— 10:30 CRITICAL INCIDENCE REPORTS Jordie OR SEA GULLS & SEA WEED

10:45-12:15 Discussion groups could take the form of leadership modules including, group management, risk management, emergency procedures, trip documentation & reporting, or what have you. (Led by Rupert Wong)

12:15-1:00 Lunch

1;00 – 2:00 CPR recert (sign up in advance) OR Towing in currents @ False Narrows OR 1:00 – 1:45 DISCUSSION/DEMO ON FLARES ---what works best, when to use what (Kim Crosby)
